My story began on January of 2001
I have always been interested in the nature and environment, and keeping it safe and pure for everyone to use. Together with my best friend in day care we introduced ourselves to the teachers as environmentalists. Being born in Finland has been a great privilege, as the Nordic welfarestate system is really good for the citizens, keeping us safe and grounded with the opportunities to pursue yourself however you like.
When high school started, I began to really find who I was - an ambivert, who cares for the environment and the people. I finished high school with just a bit above average grades when the Covid-19 had calmed down the first time. Our school was one of the few that had the possibility to have the graduation in person but with restricted contact, obviously. After graduation I kept working as a cashier for another two years before getting into Haaga-Helia.
With spending my early twenties during Covid-19 has shaped me more as a person than I initially thought it would. I had spend my days working and evenings playing videogames with my friends or occasionally meeting up with family. This really took a toll on me, even though I considered myself being ok with the world situation. Looking back, I did not know how to cope. Fortunately, during my studies in Haaga-Helia, being exposed to other people face to face has made me understand that while being in solitude had its benefits, it is important to cherish your realtionships with others.
Thanks to every decision in my life up to this point in time, I have learned to set and understand my own, as well as, others’ boundaries regarding both professional and personal life. I also have learned to tell about myself more in detail - I love sports (especially soccer), music (literally everything goes), and the environment.
